Ladytigercat asked:

How often should I change the water? Is an asperin advisable? The flowers I got at the market and there was a small packet of flower food with it. I used the packet in the vase. Should I have saved some of the food for when I changed the water. In brief ie. How do you best care for cut flowers so they stay beautiful longer?

How do you prepare real flowers that will be placed on a wedding cake?

Monday, December 1st, 2008
Rodnie A asked:

I’ve been asked to use real hydrangeas on a wedding cake that I will make and I just want to know if there is a proper method to prepare the flowers for arrangement on the cake. I don’t want to just cut the stems and stick the flower in the cake. I’m being mindful of the fact that the cake will most definitely be consumed. I don’t want the wedding guests to get sick.
