Friday, November 28th, 2008
Doyle asked:

I have a Lemon tree in a cutout circle on a patio. I’d like to grow something, ground cover or flowers under the lemon tree but I haven’t had much luck with anthing even though it gets plenty of sun. Is there anything that will grow under a lemon tree?

How do I keep flowers fresh for 24 hours?

Monday, November 17th, 2008
Beat Detective asked:

I am planning to buy flowers this Friday to give to my date on Saturday. I need to pick them up around 2pm on Friday because I will be busy from then until when I see her the next day. Will the flowers go bad in 24 hours? Should I do anything to keep them fresh, like put them in a vase or cut the stems a special way? Any help is appreciated, I will choose the best answer.
They are yellow roses, if that helps.
